About
What We Do
At Damerow Educational Consulting, we work with a very select number of students from the greater China region (i.e., Mainland China, Macao, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) to help them begin their new lives in the U.S.-based cities where their universities are located. We greet our clients at the airport, take them to their dormitories or apartments, liaise with their university staff members to help familiarize them with campus, take them to nearby stores in their communities they’ll visit in the near future, and meet other unique needs our clients have. Over a three-day period, our personalized services provide a trusted and dependable source of support to individuals embarking on new adventures in foreign places.
Founder
Ryan Damerow has been involved in education for more than twenty years. His passion for international education and helping others began at an early age and continues now. He served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Chongqing, China from 2007 to 2009 and taught English at Sichuan International Studies University in Chongqing. This experience helped to transform his life, leading him to serving others interested in international education endeavors.
Serving as the Chief Operating Officer of TIRF (The International Research Foundation for English Language Education) for nearly fifteen years, Ryan has demonstrated effective and dependable leadership. He has grown his network in higher education and language education for one and a half decades. He has helped hundreds of individuals advance their careers in education throughout the last decade, furthering the impact of both TIRF and all those served.
Ryan earned his MA-TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from MIIS (Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey), and he completed his MBA in Global Management & Strategy from Western Governors University. His bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Public Policy was completed at Michigan State University. In 2017, Ryan received MIIS’ Young Alumni Achievement Award for his accomplishments throughout his career.
